Bishop CheckMate (“I” or “me”) runs bishopcheckmate.com. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What this website collects
- Visit information. Like most websites, this site records basic information about visits: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example, from LinkedIn or a search engine), your general location by city or region, and the type of device and browser you use. I use Google Analytics and the statistics built into WordPress.com for this. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart.
- Information you choose to send. If you email me or schedule a conversation, I receive what you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and anything you write.
How I use it
- To see which pages are useful and improve the website.
- To reply to you and prepare for a conversation you schedule.
I don’t sell or rent your information, and I don’t use it for advertising.
Services that handle information for this site
- WordPress.com (Automattic) hosts the website.
- Google Analytics measures visits. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
- Google Calendar handles conversation scheduling. Booking details you enter are processed by Google under its privacy policy.
Cookies
Google Analytics and WordPress.com set cookies to measure visits and keep the site working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing kingb@bishopcheckmate.com.
